Madison-Smith offers abrasive waterjet machining services with 2 OMAX Waterjet Cutting Machines. These machines use water traveling at over twice the speed of sound to cut almost any material. Abrasive waterjet cutting is a process that uses a mixture of high pressure water & abrasive to cut material from styrofoam to titanium quickly, economically, and without harm to the environment. Because the waterjet does not use heat or pressure, the finished product has no warping, discoloration, or distortion. If you have a .DXF file, a drawing, or just an idea, we will work closely with you to ensure the finished product is what you desire.

Why Water Jet Is Better:
(1) LOW COST
The abrasive water jet machining center uses your existing .DXF files (or other CAD drawings). No costly dies, fixtures or eloborate CNC programming required.

(2) NO MINIMUM
Low startup costs allow for inexpensive, high accurate production for quantities as small as one item.

(3) HIGHLY PRECISE
Cuts are accurate within +/- .005"

(4) SMOOTH, FLAT CUTS
Water jet cuts are smooth, similar to a fine sand blasted finish. No need to deburr parts.

(5) NO HEAT BUILD UP
Materials like glass, rubber, and plastic will not melt during cutting, no heat affected areas, no structural changes.

(6) CUT JUST ABOUT ANYTHING
Jet maching is capable of cutting just about anything - glass, stainless, aluminum, hardened steel, exotic alloys, stone, plastic, rubber, ceramic - you name it.

(7) ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
No noxious gases, liquids, or oils are used in the machining process.
